Kielbasa & Sauerkraut One-Pan Bake
A hearty, flavour-packed dish perfect for a comforting dinner or a casual weekend lunch.

Ingredients

2 manuka-smoked Polish kielbasa sausages (sliced into thick rounds)

1 tbsp vegetable oil or butter (or smalec if you have any)

4 medium potatoes, sliced

1 onion, thinly sliced

1½ cups The Polish Sausage Company Sauerkraut (drained)

1 tsp caraway seeds (optional but traditional)

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions

Preheat oven to 200°C (fan bake).

Heat oil in a large oven-safe pan or skillet over medium heat.

Add sliced kielbasa and pan-fry for 3–4 minutes until lightly browned. Remove and set aside.

In the same pan, sauté onions and potatoes for about 8 minutes until they begin to soften.

Stir in sauerkraut and caraway seeds. Season with salt and pepper.

Return the kielbasa to the pan, nestling it into the mix.

Bake uncovered for 15 minutes, or until potatoes are golden and tender.

Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot with crusty rye bread or mustard on the side.
