PIEROGI
Pierogi are the Eastern European classic and are made with variety of filling. We make two types of pierogi in our Factory Shop in Lyall Bay in Wellington, NZ.
- Potato and cheese pierogi - we use curd cheese, fresh potatoes, toasted and fresh onion and a pinch of nutmeg. They come already cooked so you just need to fry them in the frying pan with a little bit of butter.
- Sauerkraut and mushrooms pierogi - The most popular in Poland. The sauerkraut is full of antioxidants and we use dry mix of wild mushrooms which are full of flavour. These are fully vegan and you can replace frying in butter for vegetable oil
Our pierogi are already cooked so you know you are getting the freshest product possible and all you need to do is just to reheat them with a drop of butter or vegetable oil. You can also freeze them like this and reheat later and they will not lose their wonderful taste.
We use high grade flour and don’t use eggs in our pierogi.

The Pierogi Story
The best dumplings in the world . The pastry is made of flour and water, some add an egg to the mix (we don’t). The filling can include potato and cheese, sauerkraut, cabbage, spiced meats, and even berries. Because pierogi freeze well, they make quick, satisfying last-minute meals.
We love to eat Pierogi in Poland, so I wanted to bring some of this goodness to our community in New Zealand. We serve them in the Factory Shop hot off the pan as they are. Just pure honest dumplings and maybe a pinch of fried onions.
